Church
“There is no safe investment. To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket – safe, dark, motionless, airless – it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. The alternative to tragedy, or at least to the risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell.” – C.S Lewis

What's it all about?
‘What is this all about?’ can be a loaded question that combines a few questions – what is church? Why do we do church? However, these questions are encompassed by just one – what does it mean to be a Christian?
What's On
We would like to invite you along to any of our services, on Sundays or through the week. On Sunday mornings we meet at 11am to have communion, worship and listen to a sermon from a Bible passage.
Prayer
At the Met, we place prayer as an essential priority within our weekly schedule, and gather together in mornings and evenings to pray and seek God’s face for ourselves and others. All are welcome to join us for these corporate times, or if you would like to submit a prayer request, simply click here and we will pray for you.
Values
The pursuit of our church is to build a culture based on the so-called ‘Jesus creed’, loving God and loving others. Discover what Biblical Christianity is at its core.
Our Mission
We want to be a welcoming, inspiring presence in the community we serve. To provide a space that facilitates the building and enriching of relationships through hospitality, openness and connection.
